Just spent the day in Macon, which from the outside seems just on ordinary large French town, but once you take the time to stop and wander round the cobbled streets of its pedestrian area, you will find an array of shops and cafes where you can while away a pleasant afternoon. Also it is a great time to go as it is the sales at the moment - always a bonus!
After a few hours hard shopping, I treated my baby daughter to a crepe and ice cream in one of the many river side cafes. It is funny really as with the summer breeze from the river, you really feel like you are by the sea!!
A great day out, which I will definitely be repeating soon!
