Cluny market

The market in Cluny every Saturday morning is well worth a visit. I went last Saturday for the first time and will definitely be going back tomorrow! It is situated on the main square behind the Abbey and cannot be missed as it takes up the whole square and winds off onto the smaller surrounding streets. The choice of stalls is huge, with local produce from the surrounding villages: fresh fruit and veg picked that morning, cheeses of all varieties, honey, plants, meat, fish, clothes, jewellery, arts and crafts, the list is endless.

It is sure there is something for everyone and a very nice morning out if you just want to take in the scenery and the friendly atmosphere thanks to cheerful stall holders, who if you don't speak French are willing to give English a go!!
